i most want to go to ALBUQUERQUE

Posted by killahpoopface on January 10, 2011 at 4:01 pm

I have always wanted to go explore the Southwest, particularly in October to experience the hot air ballon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I was luckyenough to experience a hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia, Turkey, once, and it was an incredible way to see a landscape. I also love colors and I think seeing the sky dotted with tons of hot air balloons would be the best way to experience Albuquerque. Kind of incredible!
Plus I understand there is a ton of great food to enjoy - I love taquerias, and would love to try some new hot sauces - and want to see and have fun on the Rio Grande!

Seeking Southern Comforts

Posted by stefers511 on January 10, 2011 at 11:01 am

I don't know if it's the food (jumbalaya, gumbo, biscuits!) or the culture or the accents, but as a West Coast gal, I have always wanted to visit "the South". New Orleans, Lousiana is just the kind of spicy, jazzy, adventurous city I would like to experience this year. I could definitely add more cities to my list--there are so many places I'd love to see both in and out of the US--but state-side, Southern culture seems like the perfect get-away for me in 2011...

Wake me before I miss my flight

My far and away destination of choice is Everglades National Park and the neighboring environs of South Florida. Spectacular sunsets. A generous portion of fresh seafood. Sleeping under the stars. The gentle sound of the surf. Perhaps a chance sighting of a panther. Delusions of travel keep me warm despite the long, cold nights of winter in a northern town.

Yosemite

I had the chance to go to Yosemite a number of years ago but when we got there the weather was bad so low hanging clouds pretty much obliterated all of the fantastic scenery. I've been wanting to go back ever since!

I would love to travel to San Francisco in California. It just looks like a nice, sunny place - would be nice to leave snow behind for a bit :)

Bozeman

My ladyfriend has been going on about Bozeman for years. I have never been to Montana and would love to see what it's all about.

I would LOVE to go to Washington D.C.!! There is so much rich history there, and tons of fun things to do. I know I would also take advantage being so close to the other neighboring states and visit them too.

I want to go to northern Virginia. My mom grew up there and I've been raised on stories from her childhood and always thought it would be great to take her back there someday.

Most wanted

I would most want to see Yellowstone National Park. I've never been to that part of the country and have always wanted to see it.

Grand Canyon

I visited this national park in July 1981 and was fascinated. This was before I became an avid photographer and prior to establishing my yoga and meditation practice. This year's trip - 30 years later - will have a new feel, a different energy, and will be equally fascinating.
