National Public Lands Day
September 26, 2009 is National Public Lands Day and thousands of volunteers from coast-to-coast will work to enhance and improve the public lands that Americans enjoy. From planting trees and building trails, to removing trash and culling invasive species, there’s something for everyone who wants to join in.
Here are just a few Signature Sites, by state, that are organizing volunteers, or find a National Public Lands Day Signature Site near you and get involved!
