National Parks Promotion Giveaway Winners Announced
We have two winners in our National Parks promotion giveaway. A big thank you to everyone who participated and told us all about your favorite National Parks.
Auriette Lindsey of Pensacola, FL is the winner of the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. Auriette’s favorite park is Death Valley National Park. Here is what she had to say about it:
“Since I was 12 years old, I have loved Star Wars, and one of the most exciting moments of my life was visiting Tatooine. I stopped at the Death Valley Visitor Center, and the guide kindly and without condescension or disdain pointed me to Golden Canyon. It's where George Lucas filmed R2-D2 getting kidnapped by the Jawas…it is a favorite memory that will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Auriette plans to use the pass to visit several National Parks, including Gulf Islands National Seashore, which is near her home. We hope she gets the chance to visit Death Valley (aka Tatooine) again as well. May the force be with you, Auriette!
Our second prize winner is Amber G. of Naperville, IL. Who shared her love for Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska.
“It is so serene and magical, I literally feel like I am in another world,” she said about the park.
Amber will receive copies of Moon Acadia National Park, Moon Yosemite, and Moon Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
Thanks again to everyone who entered. Keep reading the Moon Staff Blog and our Facebook and Twitter pages for information on our future giveaways.

Wow, that totally does look a scene from Star Wars—I had no idea Tatooine was in my home state! Thanks for the educational story, and hope you enjoy the parks pass, Auriette.
Wonderful!
