On Assignment in Nicaragua with Travel Channel's Bizarre Star
I've been traveling in Nicaragua as the location specialist for Travel Channel superstar Andrew Zimmern as he films a new episode of his show, "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern." It's pretty hectic leading a film crew around the lakes and volcanoes of Nicaragua, in search of the most interesting foods and beverages; Internet access has been limited, so please bear with me in the meantime and I'll be back to Belize-blogging very soon! And yes, I dined on a few interesting tidbits with Zimmern. The show will air June 2, so stay tuned... [LINK]->

Special treats

Andrew is a favorite in our house, as are Anthony and Samantha. (We watch so regularly that we feel we're on a first name basis with all of them.)
Bizarre Foods is great. The gross-out factor appeals to my sweetie, while I enjoy the look at new cultures and countries. I just wish Andrew would take smaller bites of his special treats so he doesn't need to chew with his mouth open and we wouldn't have to listen to him chomping away.
Smaller bites might also allow him to swallow before speaking to the camera. I don't care if you're eating bugs or haute cuisine; Talking with your mouth full is just rude.
No doubt traveling with film crew in tow is a challenge. I look forward to reading more of this and your other adventures here.
