Over the weekend, my husband and I took some friends on a tour of the Old Mission Peninsula, a picturesque stretch of land that divides the West Arm and East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay, just north of Traverse City, Michigan. It was a glorious day, warmer and sunnier than I would have expected by mid-September in northern Michigan, but you wouldn’t have caught me complaining.
